Inheaven are an alt-rock four piece from south London. Last September, NME called their first album, INHEAVEN, ‘indie’s most dangerously exciting debut-album’.
This Februrary, they bring their shoegazey guitar vibes to the Face Bar on Tuesday 6 February with a set ready to send the audience into a frenzy, and songs including ‘Regeneration’ and ‘Baby’s Alright’. Ahead of their Reading show, we speak to Chloe from Inheaven about their upcoming tour, what the band get up to in between shows and their dream line up.
You’re embarking on your headline tour of the UK, how are you feeling about it?
We’re really excited, we didn’t get to visit these places on the last tour, so we’re really excited about that.
For people who’ve never seen you live before, what can they expect from your set?
An exhilarating evening. Good times.
Your new song ‘Sweet Dreams Baby’ was just released, only a few months after your debut album. Can we expect more new music soon?
Yes. We’re hoping to release some new music soon, we’re heading to the states to support Pale Waves, and once were back we’re heading to record album two.
You’re a band with a clear focus on the visual side of your art as well as the music side. Where do you take your inspiration from for visuals?
We like watching lots of movies, those are a big inspiration. The visuals are just as important as the music. We’re really inspired by John Hughes’ coming of age style, in particular.
Do you have a favourite song to play live?
It changes all the time, but ‘Treats’ is currently my favourite.
Where has been your favourite place to play?
Reading Festival 2017.
What do you do in your spare time between traveling and playing shows. Do you have any games to battle the boredom?
We’re actually on the way to our first date on the UK tour in Portsmouth now, and are all doing different things. Joe is currently drawing a comic book. James is currently asleep. Joe is listening to music and I’m reading a book.
Finally, if you could pick three bands for your dream tour, who would you take with you?
Thyla, Pale Waves and King Nun.
